Students will be expected to bring their own art supplies, although substitute materials can be provided if necessary.īob's former students have gone on to work as visual storytellers at companies like Dreamworks, EA Games, Marvel Comics, Nickelodeon, Adult Swim, Disney, Hasbro, DC Comics, Tokyopop and IDW. Writers who'd like to better understand the artist's role will be just as welcome. Despite a few hours of homework being suggested every week, all sessions will be designed to be informative and fun whether homework is completed or not. Each session will consist of lectures, exercises, slide show presentations and critiques. Sequential Art Professor Bob Pendarvis will be teaching a workshop for students and practicing artists looking to improve their visual storytelling skills for illustrating comic books and children's picture books.
